Expedition Log Homes can supply you with two types of log building systems -- our traditional Full Log System with log sizes from 6-12" and our Insulated Log systems that combine the best of both worlds -- you get a complete full log look outside and the full log look inside where you want it -- log sizes range from 6-12". You can choose from traditional butt & pass, saddle notch, Swedish cope, and full round corner styles. Standard Package inclusions:

  1. Hand-drawn, kiln-dried logs in sizes ranging from 6-12".
  2. Engineered sub-floor systems with Advantek floor sheathing.
  3. All first and second floor stair systems - conventional and log stairs available.
  4. All exterior wall framing materials.
  5. All interior wall framing materials.
  6. All roof framing materials to include knotty pine soffits and cedar fascia.
  7. Pella Architect series high-efficiency windows and patio doors.
  8. Therma-Tru high efficiency entry doors.
  9. High density batt insulation for exterior walls and roof.
  10. Structural log beams and decorative log rafters in specified locations.
  11. Interior logs where specified.
  12. Knotty pine paneling in all cathedral ceiling areas and porch ceilings.
  13. 375# Elk Prestique 40-year shingles available in your choice of colors.
  14. Pine or cedar logs - your choice.
  15. Tyvek house wrap.
  16. Roof - ice and water shield.
  17. Oly log fasteners and spikes.
  18. Complete hardware package for constriction of your log home package.
  19. All caulking for sealing logs.
  20. Moosehead Rail & Log Furniture purchase voucher - to be used toward the purchase of rail systems or log furniture.
  21. All blueprints for your home package which includes personal engineering and design services for your home package.

Garage Package (if your plan includes a garage):

  1. All wall and roof framing materials
  2. Elk Prestique shingles - same as house.
  3. Exterior logs to match home package.
  4. Log fasteners and caulk.

Porch Package (if home has porch/s):

  1. All cedar deck and treated framing materials.
  2. All structural log supports and log headers.
  3. All roof framing and fascia and shingles.
  4. Knotty pine paneling for ceiling and soffits.
  5. Cedar log rails as needed.
  6. Fasteners and hardware.

Deck Packages (if home has deck/s):

  1. Green-treated supports and framing materials.
  2. Premium cedar decking.
  3. Cedar log deck rails as needed.
  4. Fasteners and hardware.

Options:

Interior logs, knotty pine for flat ceilings and walls, sky lights, decks, porches, garage packages, cedar paneling, custom log mantels, glass wall screen porch windows.

Items NOT INCLUDED:

  1. Local engineering stamps.
  2. Excavation.
  3. Foundation (Expedition supplies foundation blueprint).
  4. General contracting services or construction labor.
  5. Electrical and plumbing/heating.
  6. Interior finish items - cabinets, interior doors, trim, sheetrock, etc.
  7. Flooring.
  8. Overhead garage doors.
  9. Exterior or interior stain (suggestions available).
  10. Fireplace (suggestions available).
